On Tuesday April 28, 2015, the Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether the Constitution allows homosexual couples the right to marry regardless of what individual states decide.

Over 100,000 pastors and churches are standing together in prayer on Tuesday, April 28, to ask the Lord to intervene with mercy on our nation.

Read some of what David Brody wrote describing what will happen on April 28 (and the Sunday before), and read David Lane's email to 100,000 pastors.

Many church and ministry networks are partnering together to get the word out about this.

Please forward this email to your pastor or to leaders of networks and ask them to get the word out about this historic decision that will be made on April 28 in the USA.

David Brody, CBN News Chief Political Correspondent, wrote:

The influential Christian political operative David Lane sent an email newsletter to more than 100,000 evangelical pastors encouraging them to hold prayer services on April 28 when the Supreme Court hears the crucial same-sex marriage case . . .The Supreme Court will decide whether the Constitution allows homosexual couples the right to marry no matter where they reside or whether states have the right to say marriage is only between a man and a woman.

David Lane also is calling on these pastors to preach on the topic of biblical marriage on the Sunday before the big Supreme Court case.

In another blog, Brody wrote:

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz is sending a letter to tens of thousands of pastors asking them to stand with God and pray during the two-hour time frame on April 28:

“On Tuesday, April 28, the United States Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments in favor of ‘same-sex marriage.’ How will the American church respond?

How can the church rise to the occasion in this situation? ... I urge you to consider the following—

1. Preach about biblical marriage on Sunday, April 26.

2. Lead prayer services on Tuesday, April 28.

Will we be on the right side of history, the side occupied by the Author of history? Will we discard an institution, ordained by God, which has brought so much stability and happiness to the human family? ... Rightly or wrongly, the Supreme Court will take a stand on marriage this summer. Let’s take ours now.

God bless America,

Senator Ted Cruz”

It is time for You to act, O Lord,
For they have regarded Your law as void.
Psalm 119:126

Pastor,

It is time for You to act. We are asking the 100K American Renewal = Project pastors for 2 actions:

1) Preach on Biblical Marriage on Sunday April 26, 2015.
The Apostle Paul calls marriage a “profound mystery.” A man and woman becoming one flesh through marriage is more than a civil contract, it represents “Christ and the Church” (Ephesians 5:22–6:9; Colossians 3:18–4:1).

2) Lead Prayer Services on Tuesday, April 28th, 11:30 AM–1:30 PM in their sanctuaries.
This two-hour window will focus on prayer. We intend to cry for mercy for what we, believers, have allowed to happen to our nation, that was established “For the Glory of God and the advancements of the Christian faith.” (The Mayflower Compact).

Supreme Court Building

The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments on same-sex marriage on Tuesday, April 28th. Justice Ginsberg and Justice Kagan even now have performed homosexual marriage ceremonies. Their integrity should insist that they recuse themselves for lack of impartiality; but they are the law. Such secularists lack virtue.

America has become drugged by the cup of Secularism — a false and wicked religion — articulated in the Humanist Manifesto, a creed that denied supernatural relevation, and so the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. The ‘religion’—as it was called in the Humanist Manifesto (1933)—was imposed by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1963, an 8-1 decision, in Abington School District v. Schempp. Lone dissenting Justice Potter Stewart prophesied, “...[the decision to remove the Bible from public schools] led not to true neutrality with respect to religion, but to the establishment of a religion of secularism.”

That proud and tragic decision has given birth to a complete moral breakdown in America, those doing this to our country must be held accountable. The wise Solomon says, “Where there is no revelation the people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction” (Proverbs 29:10). America’s Founders laid the foundation on biblical virtue, His Word. Udo W. Middleman, president of the Francis A. Schaeffer Foundation says, “He has told us in his Word how we should live and order our lives, set our priorities, and what sense to make of being human.” A Christian nation once, America is now ruled by an oligarchy, a majority of nine, representing, “Vice stalking in virtue's garb.”

God defines sin, not the U.S. Supreme Court. Having removed the fixed point in order to judge in 1963, the esteemed Justices, in hubris, decided to challenge God’s rule, God’s throne, and God’s rightful Honor. America is on the verge of learning something that can be learned in no other way—rebellion against God brings consequences. There is no safety in distance from God.

What is the antidote, the counteracting agent, to the foisting of homosexual marriage on a once Christian nation? “In the day of my trouble I will call upon you, for You will answer me.” (Psalm 86:7)

Our experience confirms us in the belief that Jehovah the living God really does aid those who call upon him, and therefore we pray and mean to pray, not because we are so fascinated by prayer that for its own sake we would continue in it if it proved to be mere folly and superstition, as vain philosophers assert; but because we really, indeed, and of a truth, find it to be a practical and effectual means of obtaining help from God in the hour of need. There can be no reason for praying if there be no expectation of the Lord's answering. ” Charles H. Spurgeon

Why are not the churches of America filled with prayer services, led by senior pastors, asking God for mercy of what we have allowed to a once Christian nation? Who will, by faith, help America's pastors track down the weapons of warfare? Prayer and tears are the Christians weapons of war, very little cannonading and bombardment appears to be occurring in America's sanctuaries today.

We are asking the 100K American Renewal Project pastors to lead prayer services on Tuesday, April 28th, 11:30AM–1:30PM, in your sanctuaries. This two-hour window is not sermonizing, but prayer, led by God’s shepherds; Jehovah is not interested in numbers, if it’s you and two others, then God will be honored. We intend to cry for mercy for what we, believers, have allowed to happen to our nation established by our Founders on a spiritual mission, “For the Glory of God and the advancements of the Christian faith.” (The Mayflower Compact)

We need Gideons to stand, and lead prayer services, Tuesday, April 28th, 11:30AM–1:30PM. For those of the flock who cannot attend the prayer service led by the shepherd, please ask that they stop where they are and pray; we need a miracle.
