No jail time for man who raped dogA Bethlehem, Pa., man has pleaded guilty to having sexual intercourse with a dog, reported Monday's Lehigh Valley Live news.

Juan Sanabria-Hernandez, 27, stated in court:

    My decision was to plead guilty because, if not, we would go to trial,”

    “I am the most remorseful for what I did.

Despite admitting to the crime, Sanabria-Hernandez will not spend any time behind bars for the sordid act which took place last year.

Instead, Lehigh County Judge Maria Dantos sentenced the man to 18 months of probation, and dropped the animal cruelty charge.

The victim to the October 2012 crime was a female Shih-Tzu named "Star." Star's guardian, Angela Rivera, noticed that her dog was injured and confronted Sanabria-Hernandez; the man later admitted to police what he had done.

Lehigh County Deputy District Attorney Matthew Falk stated:

    “He has clear mental health issues. He needs to be supervised. That would be our concern.” Examiner
