Man accused of cannibalism murder

 A US man has been accused of killing a woman, dismembering her body and eating part of her corpse, authorities said.

Gregory S Hale, 37, was arrested at his home in Coffee County, Tennessee, and is charged with premeditated first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse.

District attorney Mickey Layne said a neighbour told police he had had a conversation with Hale and had reason to believe a homicide had been committed.

Mr Layne said that when officers arrived at the home they found remains on the grounds. They questioned Hale and took him into custody.

He is being held in jail on a 1.5 million dollar (£900,000) bond. BelfastTelegraph
