MANILA, Philippines—A 4.3 earthquake shook Bohol Island at 4:21 p.m. Sunday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The inland quake struck 59 kilometers northeast of the capital Tagbilaran City at a shallow depth of seven kilometers.

Earlier at 3:06 p.m., Catbalogan City in Samar province was hit by a 2.4 magnitude quake.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
